Loss of general election (Lawrence): Beginning of Richard Court's period in office: The Lawrence Australian Labor Party government was defeated at the general election for the Legislative Assembly on 6 February 1993; Lawrence resigned as Premier on 16 February 1993, and Richard Court was commissioned as Premier of a Liberal Party and National Party coalition government; '... Loss of general election (Court): The Richard Court Liberal Party and National Party coalition government was defeated at the general election for the Legislative Assembly on 10 February 2001. Richard Court resigned as Premier on 16 February 2001.
