Notes

Party in Government in office at election: The Bjelke Peterson National Liberal coaltion was replaced by a Bjelke Peterson National party minority government on 19 August 1983. Government after election: After the election, two former Liberal Party ministers joined the National Party to give the National Party a majority in parliment (Hughes 1986, 8).
