Notes
Government in office at election: Watson became prime minister of ALP minority government on 27 April 1904 after the defeat of the Deakin government in the House of Representatives. Reid became prime minister of Free Trade Protectionist coalition on 18 August 1904 after the defeat of the Watson government in the House of Representatives. Deakin became prime minister of a Protectionist minority government on 5 July 1905 after the defeat of the Reid government in the House of Representatives.
