Federal Election 2 July 2016

On 8 May, the Governor General agreed to a request from Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull for a double dissolution election for the House of Representatives and the whole Senate on 2 July 2016.

A progress summary of national results for the House of Representatives will be posted on this website. Summaries for the Senate and state and territory results for both houses will be posted when counting is complete. Summary results for past federal elections are available under 'National Parliament' below.
